Wired Magazine Editor-in-chief Chris Anderson showed off the iPad edition of Wired at the TED conference yesterday. He says he will be available by summer, IPAD itself is scheduled for launch in late March.

Back in November, Wired publisher Conde Nast announced that it would work on an edition of Wired for the tablet before Apple Apple confirmed the existence of such a tablet. Other Conde Naste publications were to follow.

The announcement drew some ridicule from the IPAD is just a rumor at the time, but it appears that the publisher was not bluffing; Wired Creative Director Scott Dadich Adobe and Jeremy Clark worked on the PPA for iPad Wired six months now.

The fruits of their labor: a digital version of the magazine where you can flip horizantally to move between floors and vertically to read this story you have installed. Rich media such as images expandable to 360 times the level and embedded videos are also part of the presentation.

While specific pricing was not announced, expected to cost less than a subscription to the printed version.
