I’ve had various “tough” phones from nextel and the lastest from Samsun (A657) all meet a timely dimise eventually. Thats why i got this, the warranty. And used it just the 2nd day I had it to more or less test the abuse and warranty. Warranty is awesome, about a week turn around from destruction to replacement.

The call quality is pretty good (AT&T) the speaker gets a bit muffled if you dunk it then make a call but otherwise the ringer is LOUD!!! Vibrate is worthless. Battery life is about 6 or 7 days for me (texting all day and constant flashlight useage). I don’t have the net so can’t comment on it but for use as a phone and camera it works great.

We’ve already seen what Samsung has in store for us (the Samsung S8500 Wave) at MWC. Now, let’s take a look at what HTC might announce at the grand event in Barcelona happening this coming week.

Here we have the Proton, or otherwise known as the phone that will debut as the HTC HD Mini. It packs a 3.2-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 5-megapixel autofocus camera, 600MHz Qualcomm processor, WiFi, HSPA connectivity, GPS, 3.5m jack, and runs on Windows Mobile 6.5. There’s really nothing overly exciting or groundbreaking about this particular HTC handset so I guess this means that it won’t come with a ridiculously steep price tag either.

Well aware that 140 characters loving owners BlackBerry does not have the largest selection of Twitter applications, RIM abandoned leaving the task to third party developers and created its own. Released today in a private beta, the APP aims to take advantage of push technology platform and to better integrate Twitter into your message list. Of course, we would do if someone will be able to design a killer app Twitter to Berrys, this must be the pack Waterloo – but she managed to create something that can replace Apps TweetGenius as paid or free feature-packed as those SocialScope or UberTwitter? We are told it will not be available in a public beta for a month or two, but we’ve got your first look after the break.
